    Jaws is a movie created in 1975 by Steven Spielberg. It was the very first blockbuster film earning over 400 million dollars worldwide. This film is about police chief Martin Brody, played by Roy Schneider, and the events that occur in his new town Amity Island. He and his family are settling in when a wave of shark attacks occurs at their local beach. He is quick to bring this to the mayor's attention as he wants to close down the beaches because he is scared, but the mayor is against closing them down because it would lose him too much money. When the shark attacks get more frequent, a reward is created for those who can kill and bring back the shark which enables many fishermen and locals to go out and try to catch it. They return with a small tiger shark and Hooper, a young and well-educated shark expert, explains that the tiger shark is not the shark they are after. Whiplash (Spoilers!)

 Whiplash is a film released in 2014 and was directed by Damien Chazelle. I don't want to give too much of this film away but all I can say is wow. This film stars Miles Teller who plays Andrew and stars J.K. Simmons who plays Fletcher. Andrew is a drummer at a prestigious school when Fletcher, a scary, mean music director, gives him a chance to play with the elite band. Andrew drives himself to no end as he does anything to try and please Fletcher but it never is good enough. The ending was the absolute best part of the movie where Andrew has a big "F U" moment with Fletcher, but within that moment, it wins him over and Fletcher is finally impressed. It only cost Andrew everything to win it.  This movie was absolutely amazing. It was my favorite of the year and I plan to rewatch it a few more times, and then a few more times after that.
